A wood bird feeder makes a unique birthday gift. They're a wonderful pick for moms, dads, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Some of the most beautiful garden decorations are wooden bird feeders. Have you ever noticed that gardens, like homes, have their own decorating style? |
Some lean towards being modern, while others have an old English feel about them. I'll show you unique bird feeders that would look lovely in a any setting.

Any wood bird feeder reminds me of my Grandmother's garden. She lived in Santa Fe New Mexico and loved being outside. Her garden was as beautiful as she was. We'd all sit in her back yard in the afternoon on her wrought iron furniture. The chairs weren't so comfortable though, but the company was wonderful! We only visited her about every 3 years, so it was a real treat. |

Do you like hopper bird feeders? These can make a really nice birthday gift. My grandmother would have loved any of these - especially if I gave it to her. I like this type because it's easy to fill and then you can enjoy the birds for a long time! |

Best bird feeders are squirrel free. Some people are really concerned about squirrels or blue jays getting into their bird seed. Not me...I love watching whatever decides to check out the bird feeder. Well maybe not everything. I definitely don't like ants getting into my hummingbird feeder! |
These unique bird feeders remind me of my father-in-law who was a brilliant engineer. Whatever he bought - he always made it better in some way. Bird feeders were no different.
He'd put whirligigs and jimmy-mahoogits on them to keep off blue jays and squirrels. Those critters were considered public enemy number one. He would have loved these:

Here are some really unique and whimsical bird feeders. Hummingbirds are some of my favorites. It's amazing how they can hover so easily to drink.
When I change the liquid in my feeders, I often get buzzed by the birds. I can't tell if they're happy I'm giving them more or upset I'm moving their food!
